When you’re planning a Warsaw stag do, budget is usually the first question in the group chat – right after “who’s sorting this out?”. With a boat cruise it’s easy to work out the cost per person, because the packages have clear starting prices and the rest of the budget fits into a simple table.
Below we show you how much the cruise itself costs, what’s included in each package, what other expenses come on top of the boat, and how to split the costs so that nobody feels ripped off.
How much does a stag do on a boat in Warsaw cost – package prices
We have three packages in Warsaw. Each one includes 2 hours of boat hire, and prices are per person for groups of 30 or more (the group totals below are approximate):
| Package | Price per person | 30 people (approx.) | 40 people (approx.) | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | from €20 | from €600 | from €800 | The boat, music, the option to plug in your own playlist |
| Star | from €27 | from €810 | from €1,080 | On top of Basic: lights and lasers, a welcome beer or 3 bottles, 6 litres of soft drinks, snacks, a red carpet, an ice cooler, the option to bring your own alcohol |
| VIP | from €36 | from €1,080 | from €1,440 | The boat, music, lights and lasers, a welcome drink and 10 bottles, 20 litres of soft drinks, snacks, a red carpet, a DJ, a bartender or hostess, a Partymaker, photo coverage |
How should you read this table? Basic is enough for a group with its own playlist who’ll take care of everything else – you’re mainly paying for the boat and two hours on the water. Star is the sweet spot when you want lighting, snacks, an ice cooler and the option to bring your own alcohol at no extra charge. Choose VIP if nobody wants to be in charge of anything: the DJ runs the music, the bartender or hostess looks after the guests and the Partymaker keeps the programme on track.
These are starting prices. We give you the final price in a quote based on your date and group size – and the earlier you ask, the better the offer. We describe the packages in detail on our stag do on a boat in Warsaw page.
A smaller group for a Warsaw stag do? Two ways to go
A stag do rarely involves 30 people. If there are fewer of you, you have two options:
- A private cruise for a small group – our Small groups in Warsaw offer covers groups of up to 30 people, with the price prepared individually. The boat is all yours, and you choose the date and time.
- A ticketed party – every Saturday evening in season, €60 per person. The price includes a 2-hour cruise on the Vistula, a 2-hour open bar, games, a photographer and free entry to clubs after the cruise (getting there is up to you). For 8 people that’s approx. €480, and for 12 people approx. €720. Details: boat party tickets in Warsaw.
If you’re still not sure whether a boat is the right choice, compare it with other options in our post a boat, a party tram or a club?
Stag do budget – what else to factor in
The cruise is usually the biggest item, but not the only one. Add these to your spreadsheet:
- Extras on board – catering (hot, cold or barbecue), a keepsake HD video, photo coverage, decorations, a personalised banner, team games or additional entertainment on request. You’ll find the full list on our Warsaw boat parties page.
- Alcohol – it isn’t included in Basic; with Star, bringing your own is included in the price, and with the other packages it’s an extra.
- Food before the cruise – a meal together or catering on board, so nobody sets off on an empty stomach.
- Accommodation and transport for those travelling in – for stag dos, we can also help with accommodation and transport.
- After-party – entry fees, drinks and taxis; ideally, everyone pays for themselves.
- Bits and pieces for the groom – T-shirts, a costume, a small gift.
- Buffer – around 10% for unexpected costs.
Example for 30 people on the Star package: the cruise starts from approx. €810, i.e. from €27 per person. Add your own items on top – a meal together, accessories and the buffer – and only then tell the group how much the first payment is. It’s better to hand back the surplus after the party than to chase extra payments when half the group has already forgotten about it.
How to split the cost of a Warsaw stag do without falling out in the group chat
- Set a per-person limit before you choose a package. It’s easier to match the activities to the budget than to justify extra payments later.
- Decide whether the groom pays. The usual rule is that he doesn’t – his share is spread across everyone else. Example: Star for 30 people starts from approx. €810; if 29 people chip in, that’s roughly €28 a head.
- One person collects the money and keeps a simple payment tracker that everyone can see.
- Settle optional costs separately – accommodation or the after-party only concern those who opt in.
- Collect payments before confirming the booking – that way you know how many people are really coming, and you’re not paying for names on a list.
- Don’t leave the booking too late. We accept bookings up to 5 working days before the event, but weekends in the summer season are worth booking well in advance.
A Warsaw stag do itinerary with the cruise at its heart
A good plan for the day might look something like this:
- Afternoon – a warm-up activity, such as go-karting, a shooting range or an escape room.
- Early evening – a proper meal before you board.
- The cruise – two hours on the Vistula at sunset or after dark.
- Night – an after-party in town for those who are up for it, with transport planned in advance.
For stag dos we can also arrange a guide or partymaker to take you around town – pubs, bowling, pool. On the boat, plan the first hour for games (you’ll find ideas in our round-up of boat party games) and the second for music and the views we describe in our guide to the Vistula river cruise route in Warsaw.
Keep an eye on the pace: water, snacks and moderation mean the groom will make it to the end of the night in good shape. On board, follow the crew’s instructions and don’t lean over the side.
