Working out your Wroclaw stag do cost? It comes down to three decisions: how many of you are going, how long you’re celebrating and what the main event will be. If that main event is a private cruise on the Oder, the boat itself with a music system costs from €16 per person for a group of 30 or more. Below we break down what each package includes, how to budget for the whole night and where it’s easiest to overspend.
Wroclaw stag do cost with a cruise – package prices
| Package | Price from (per person) | What you get | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | €16 | 2-hour boat hire, music system, option to plug in your own music | a group with its own playlist and a plan for the rest of the night |
| Star | €20 | everything in Basic plus lighting with lasers, a welcome beer or 3 bottles of vodka, champagne or prosecco, 6 litres of soft drinks and juices, savoury snacks, red carpet, ice cooler, cups and glasses, option to bring your own alcohol | a group that wants a party atmosphere and its own drinks |
| VIP | €31 | lighting, snacks, red carpet and cooler as in Star, plus a welcome drink and 10 bottles of vodka, champagne or wine, 20 litres of soft drinks and juices, a Partymaker to look after the group, a bartender or hostess, a DJ with equipment, photo coverage | a best man who doesn’t want to keep an eye on anything |
Prices apply to groups of 30 or more and a 2-hour cruise; smaller groups get an individual quote. You’ll find a full description of the packages on our stag do boat in Wroclaw page, and other occasions on the Wroclaw boat party page.
Sample stag do budget in Wroclaw for 30 people
Let’s work out the cruise alone using the “from” prices. The last column shows roughly what it comes to per person if the groom doesn’t pay and his share is split between the other 29 lads (all figures are approximate):
| Package | 30 people in total | Per person, covering the groom’s share |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | from €480 (30 × €16) | approx. €16.55 |
| Star | from €600 (30 × €20) | approx. €20.70 |
| VIP | from €930 (30 × €31) | approx. €32.10 |
On top of that, add the items that depend entirely on your own plans: accommodation for anyone coming from outside Wroclaw, getting to the city, dinner before the cruise and the night out afterwards. Check their cost for your specific date – on summer weekends accommodation prices can vary a lot.
You can build on the cruise with extras: catering (hot, cold or barbecue), a flair bartending show, live performances, a keepsake HD video or a personalised banner with a slogan for the night. For stag dos we can also arrange a guide or Partymaker to take you around the city (pubs, bowling, pool) and help with accommodation and transport – you’ll get a quote together with the offer.
Star or VIP for your stag do? A simple calculation
The difference between the Star and VIP packages is €11 per person – for 30 people that’s approx. €330 for the whole group. Here’s what you get in return:
- 10 bottles of vodka, champagne or wine instead of 3 bottles (or a welcome beer),
- 20 litres of soft drinks and juices instead of 6,
- a DJ with equipment, a bartender or hostess and a Partymaker to look after the group,
- photo coverage – pictures that none of you has to worry about taking.
If you were planning to book a DJ or a photographer as an extra anyway, VIP usually turns out to be the simpler option. If you’ve got a good playlist and prefer your own drinks, Star leaves more money for the rest of the night – just remember that bringing your own alcohol is included only with Star; with VIP it’s an extra.
How not to overpay – 6 stag do budget rules
- Count your real guest list. Package prices apply to groups of 30 or more. With 12–15 people, ask for an individual quote rather than guessing how the price will split.
- Collect the money before booking. The best man shouldn’t be bankrolling the party. Agree the amount and the payment deadline in the group chat before you send the enquiry.
- Check whether Star with your own supplies pays off. With Star you can bring your own alcohol. Buy it in advance – in Wroclaw, shops and petrol stations don’t sell alcohol between 22:00 and 06:00 (the ban doesn’t apply to bars and restaurants).
- Don’t pay twice. With VIP, a DJ with equipment, a bartender or hostess and photo coverage are already included – don’t book them separately.
- Book early. You need to send the form at least 5 working days before the date, but the earlier you do, the better the offer – especially for summer weekends.
- Keep a 10% buffer. Taxis after the party, an extra pizza, someone who joined at the last minute – a margin saves you from a stressful whip-round in the middle of the night.
Small group? A stag do with boat party tickets
If there are only a few of you, the alternative to a private cruise is a ticketed party – an open cruise where tickets are sold individually. In Wroclaw it costs €49 per person and runs every Saturday evening in season. The price includes a 2-hour cruise on the Oder, a 2-hour open bar (beer, rum, gin, whisky, vodka, soft drinks), a live DJ, a photo booth with free prints, a photographer and a pub crawl with VIP entry to 2 clubs.
The difference? On a private boat it’s just you and your own programme; at a ticketed party you’re partying with other guests, but you don’t have to organise a thing. You’ll find the details on our Wroclaw boat party tickets page, and a wider comparison of formats in our article boat, tram or club – which to choose.
How to plan a stag day in Wroclaw around the cruise
- Afternoon: a warm-up activity, such as bowling or pool – for stag dos we can arrange a guide to show you around the city.
- Early evening: dinner. A proper meal before the cruise is essential – especially if toasts are on the agenda.
- Sunset: a cruise on the Oder. In June and July the sun sets in Wroclaw at around 21:00, so setting off an hour earlier gives you both the views and the illuminations. We describe what you’ll see from the deck in our article on the Wroclaw night cruise on the Oder.
- Night: a club or a bar. No drinking on the riverside boulevards – drinking alcohol in public places is generally prohibited in Poland.
Prepare a few games for the groom for the cruise itself – you’ll find inspiration in our round-up of 25 boat party games.
FAQ – Wroclaw stag do cost
How much does a boat cruise for a stag do in Wroclaw cost?
Packages cost from €16 per person (Basic), €20 (Star) and €31 (VIP). Prices apply to groups of 30 or more and a 2-hour cruise; for smaller groups we prepare an individual quote.
Does the groom pay for himself?
That’s up to the group. If you split his share between the others, with 30 people and the Star package everyone pays only approx. €0.70 extra – the least noticeable present of the night.
Can we bring our own alcohol on board?
Yes – with the Star package, bringing your own drinks is included in the price, while with Basic and VIP it’s a paid extra. Remember moderation and water – the cruise lasts 2 hours.
How far in advance do we need to book the cruise?
The minimum is 5 working days before the event, but the earlier you send your enquiry, the better the offer. Book summer weekends well in advance.
What if there are fewer than 30 of us?
Ask for an individual quote for a private cruise, or buy tickets for the Saturday ticketed party – in Wroclaw it costs €49 per person and includes a 2-hour open bar and a pub crawl, among other things.
