BoatParty has three boat party packages: Basic, Star and VIP. Each includes a 2-hour boat hire and music; the difference lies in how much you prepare yourselves and how much the crew takes care of. Basic is the base for groups with their own plan, Star adds a welcome, drinks and lighting, and VIP takes almost every job off the organiser’s hands.
Below you’ll find a comparison table, price ranges and specific tips on which package suits which occasion and which group.

A dash means the item isn’t part of the package. Many of them, however – such as a welcome drink, a red-carpet entrance, hostesses and bartenders or a Partymaker to look after you – can be ordered as add-ons. The “from” prices apply to groups of 30 or more; for smaller groups we prepare an individual quote. We’ve gathered the rates for each of the 9 cities in our post on how much a boat party costs.
Basic – for groups with their own plan
Basic gives you a boat for a private party and music, with the option to plug in your own playlist. You pick everything else from the list of add-ons: catering, decorations, photo coverage or team games. It’s the simplest option – you pay for the cruise and the music, and build the rest around yourselves.
Basic works well when:
- the cruise itself and the views matter most, e.g. for an afternoon family celebration,
- you want the music to be “yours” – from a 90s mixtape to the birthday boy or girl’s favourite tracks,
- you’d rather spend your budget on catering than on a drinks package,
- you’re organising a company get-together where conversation matters more than the dance floor.
Star – the sweet spot for hen parties, stag dos and birthdays
Star is the package where the party starts the moment you step on board: a red carpet, a welcome beer or bottles for the first toast, savoury snacks and soft drinks. On top of that come lighting effects and lasers that turn the deck into a dance floor after dark. The most important practical difference: with Star (except in Gdansk), bringing your own alcohol is included in the price, and an ice cooler, cups and glasses are waiting on board.
Choose Star when:
- you’re organising a hen party or stag do for 30 or more people,
- at a birthday you want to raise a toast as soon as you board,
- you’re planning to bring your own bottle for a special moment, e.g. a toast to the birthday boy or girl,
- you want a club atmosphere, but a DJ isn’t essential.
With this package, remember to pace yourselves: two hours on the water are much more enjoyable with water and snacks to hand than with a race to the next toast.
VIP – when the organiser wants to party too
With the VIP package, a DJ with equipment runs the music, a bartender or hostess stands behind the bar, and a Partymaker keeps the evening on track. Photo coverage is included, so none of your guests has to keep an eye on their phone all night. VIP also comes with the biggest drinks allowance: 20 litres of juices and soft drinks, plus a welcome drink and 10 bottles of vodka, champagne or wine.
VIP works well when:
- you’re celebrating a milestone birthday or anniversary and the guest of honour should be a guest, not the host,
- you’re organising a corporate event – a team-building outing, a reward for your team or a meeting with clients,
- the maid of honour or best man want a break from coordinating and simply want to enjoy themselves,
- you want photos of the whole cruise without roping in your guests.
How to choose a package – 4 key questions
- Who will take care of the music? Your own playlist is fine with Basic; if you want a DJ, choose VIP.
- Will there be a toast to kick things off? A welcome with alcohol and snacks comes with Star and VIP.
- Do you want to bring your own drinks? With Star it’s included, with Basic and VIP it’s an add-on.
- Who will look after the guests? A bartender or hostess and a Partymaker are part of VIP; you can add them to the other packages.
The price differences are easy to work out. In Krakow, Warsaw and Katowice, moving from Basic to Star adds €7 per person, and from Star to VIP another €9. With 30 guests, that comes to roughly an extra €210 and €270 on the group budget. This is arithmetic based on “from” prices, not a quote – the final amount depends on the date and add-ons.
What to avoid when choosing a package
- Deciding on price alone. If you want a welcome toast, lighting and drinks anyway, compare Star with Basic plus the same add-ons.
- Assuming your own alcohol is included everywhere. It’s only included with Star (and not in Gdansk); with Basic and VIP it’s an add-on.
- Forgetting about food. The Star and VIP packages include savoury welcome snacks, but a proper meal means catering ordered separately.
- Booking too late. The minimum is 5 working days before the party, and for summer weekends in the season it’s better to get in touch much earlier.
With any package you can add hot, cold or barbecue catering, boat decorations, a personalised banner, a keepsake HD video, a flair bartending show or live performances. You’ll find packages for specific occasions – hen parties, stag dos, birthdays and corporate events – on our BoatParty packages page, and we’ve set out the whole process, from choosing a city to the day of the cruise, in our boat party planning checklist.
FAQ – boat party packages
Are package prices the same in every city?
No. Basic costs from €16 to €22 per person, Star from €20 to €29 and VIP from €31 to €38, depending on the city. Prices apply to groups of 30 or more.
Can we add extras to a package?
Yes. With any package you can order catering, boat decorations, a personalised banner, photo coverage, an HD video, a flair show, live performances or team games, among other things.
Which package should we choose for a hen party or stag do?
Star is a good starting point – with welcome alcohol, snacks, lighting and the option to bring your own drinks (except in Gdansk). VIP is worth choosing if you want a DJ, bar service and photo coverage included in the price.
Can we play our own music with the Basic package?
Yes, the option to plug in your own music is already part of the Basic package. With the VIP package, a DJ with equipment runs the music.
Are the packages available for groups of fewer than 30 people?
Package prices are given for groups of 30 or more. For smaller groups we prepare an individual quote based on the city, date and number of people.
Which package is right for you?
Basic if you have your own plan and playlist, Star if you want a strong start with a toast and lights, VIP if the organiser wants to party too. Send us an enquiry with the city, date and number of people – we’ll help you choose the package and add-ons for your occasion.
