How much does a boat party cost? At BoatParty, packages start at €16 per person (Basic in Wroclaw, Poznan, Szczecin and Bydgoszcz), while the top-tier VIP package costs from €31 to €38 per person, depending on the city. All rates are “from” prices, based on groups of 30 or more and a 2-hour cruise.
Below you’ll find a price table for all 9 cities, the factors that push the bill up or down, and a few simple sample calculations. They’ll help you estimate your budget before you send us an enquiry.
Boat party prices in 9 Polish cities – the table
The amounts in the table are “from” prices per person, for groups of at least 30 people and a 2-hour boat hire. The final price depends on the details we agree with you individually when you book.
| City | Basic | Star | VIP |
|---|---|---|---|
| Krakow – Vistula | from €20 | from €27 | from €36 |
| Warsaw – Vistula | from €20 | from €27 | from €36 |
| Katowice – Pogoria lakes | from €20 | from €27 | from €36 |
| Gdansk | from €20 | from €25 | from €36 |
| Wroclaw – Oder | from €16 | from €20 | from €31 |
| Poznan – Warta | from €16 | from €20 | from €31 |
| Szczecin – Oder | from €16 | from €20 | from €31 |
| Bydgoszcz – Brda | from €16 | from €20 | from €31 |
| Torun – Vistula | from €22 | from €29 | from €38 |
Wroclaw, Poznan, Szczecin and Bydgoszcz have the lowest starting prices, and Torun the highest. In Gdansk the Star package starts from €25 – €2 less than in Krakow, Warsaw and Katowice. If you’re looking at Katowice, factor in the journey: the boat sails on the Pogoria lakes in Dąbrowa Górnicza, about 20 km from the city.
What’s included in the package price
Every package includes a 2-hour boat hire and music. The differences come down to how much you get from the outset and how much you organise yourselves:
- Basic – the boat and music, with the option to plug in your own playlist.
- Star – adds lighting effects and lasers, a welcome beer or 3 bottles of vodka, champagne or prosecco, 6 litres of soft drinks and juices, savoury snacks, a red-carpet welcome, an ice cooler, cups and glasses, plus the option to bring your own alcohol (except in Gdansk, where this is an add-on).
- VIP – a welcome drink and 10 bottles of vodka, champagne or wine, 20 litres of soft drinks and juices, a DJ with equipment, a bartender or hostess, a Partymaker to look after you, and photo coverage.
If you can’t decide between them, take a look at our comparison of the Basic, Star and VIP packages – we’ve set out which one works best for which occasion.
What affects how much a boat party costs
Date and time of the cruise
You need to book at least 5 working days before the event, but the earlier you get in touch, the better the offer we can put together. Summer weekends in the season are worth booking well ahead, so if you have a Saturday in mind, don’t leave it too late. The departure time – afternoon, sunset or evening – is agreed individually.
Number of guests
The prices in the table apply to groups of 30 or more. For smaller groups we prepare an individual quote – on the city pages you’ll find separate offers for small groups (up to 30 people) and large groups (over 30 people). It’s worth pinning down your guest numbers as early as possible, because the final amount depends on them.
Add-ons
The package is a base you can build on. Options include boat decorations, a personalised banner (e.g. with your company name or the name of the birthday boy or girl), photo coverage, a keepsake HD video, a flair bartending show, live performances, and party and team-building games. Every add-on raises the budget, but it often replaces something you would otherwise have to organise yourselves anyway.
Catering and drinks
Catering – hot, cold or barbecue – is ordered separately, and its cost depends on the menu and the number of guests. With the Star package, bringing your own alcohol is included in the price (except in Gdansk); with the other packages it’s an add-on. Two hours on the water is a good stretch for snacks, water and juices, so plan your drinks in moderation and make sure there’s something substantial to eat.
Sample calculations – per person and per group
The figures below are simple arithmetic: the number of people multiplied by the lowest package price in a given city. They are approximations, not a quote – they don’t include catering or add-ons, and the final price depends on the date and the details of your party.
| Example | Calculation | Approx. for the group |
|---|---|---|
| Krakow, Basic, 30 people | 30 × €20 | from approx. €600 |
| Warsaw, Star, 30 people | 30 × €27 | from approx. €810 |
| Wroclaw, Star, 40 people | 40 × €20 | from approx. €800 |
| Gdansk, VIP, 30 people | 30 × €36 | from approx. €1,080 |
| Torun, VIP, 35 people | 35 × €38 | from approx. €1,330 |
On a stag do or hen party, the guests traditionally cover the cost and the bride- or groom-to-be celebrates on them. It’s easy to work out: with 30 people on the Basic package in Krakow, the guest of honour’s share (€20) spread across the other 29 people comes to roughly 70 cents extra per head.
For a corporate event it’s easier to think in terms of a total budget: add catering and your chosen add-ons to the package price. Companies receive a VAT invoice. For a real-life example of what such a bill looks like in one city, see our Wroclaw stag do budget.
How to get an exact quote
To prepare an initial offer, we only need three things: the city, the date and the number of people. In the notes, add the occasion, your chosen package and any add-ons you’re interested in – that way the quote will be much closer to the final figure. All cities and occasions are gathered on our boat party offer page.
If there are only a few of you and you’re heading to Krakow, Warsaw or Wroclaw, consider the open ticketed boat parties. A ticket costs from €49 to €60 per person, depending on the city, and includes a 2-hour cruise with an open bar and a photographer, among other things – you’ll find the details on pages such as Krakow boat party tickets.
We’ve set out the next steps – from choosing a date to the day of the cruise – in our boat party planning checklist.
FAQ – how much does a boat party cost?
Does the price per person include hiring the whole boat?
Yes. With every package you hire the boat for 2 hours for a private party just for your group. Per-person prices are given for groups of 30 or more.
How much will we pay if there are fewer than 30 of us?
For smaller groups we prepare an individual quote – just send an enquiry with the city, date and number of people. In Krakow, Warsaw and Wroclaw, the open ticketed parties are an alternative.
Is catering included in the package price?
No, hot, cold or barbecue catering is ordered as an add-on. With the Star and VIP packages, savoury snacks, soft drinks and juices are waiting for you when you board.
Can a company get an invoice for a boat party?
Yes, we issue VAT invoices for companies. It’s best to give us your invoice details when you book.
What’s the latest we can book a cruise?
At least 5 working days before the event. The sooner you send an enquiry, the better the offer we can prepare, especially for summer weekends.
