A Warsaw boat party is a way to enjoy a party on a boat without having to round up a group of 30. Every Saturday evening in season, the boat sets off on a two-hour cruise along the Vistula, and tickets are sold per person – so you can come as a couple, a group of four or with a small hen or stag crew.
Below we explain exactly what the ticket includes, how the evening unfolds from meeting up to the after-party, how to prepare and when it’s better to go for a private cruise.
Warsaw boat party – what the ticket price includes
A ticket costs €60 per person and includes:
- a 2-hour cruise on the Vistula,
- a 2-hour open bar – beer, rum, gin, whisky, vodka and mixed drinks,
- games on board,
- a photographer,
- free entry to clubs after the cruise – getting there is up to you.
You book via the form, choosing the Saturday that suits you. Your confirmation arrives by email together with a PDF ticket – it’s worth having it handy on your phone. You’ll find the form and up-to-date information on our Warsaw boat party tickets page. If several of you are going, book your tickets together so that everyone has the same date.
The price is fixed and known in advance, which makes splitting the cost in a small group easy: 4 people come to approx. €240, 6 people approx. €360 and 10 people approx. €600. There’s no need to count drinks or divide up the cost of hiring a whole boat.
A Saturday night on the Vistula in Warsaw – from meeting up to the after-party
| Time | What’s happening |
|---|---|
| 17:30 | Meet in front of the “Barka Warszawska Dzień i Noc” restaurant – look out for the red umbrella |
| 17:45 at the latest | The last moment to arrive – you need to be there at least 15 minutes before departure |
| 18:00 | The boat departs on the dot |
| 18:00–20:00 | Vistula cruise, open bar, games, photos with the photographer |
| approx. 20:00 | Back on dry land |
| Later | After-party – free entry to clubs, getting there is up to you |
After the cruise
Once you’re back on dry land, you get free entry to clubs, but you’ll need to make your own way there. Agree within your group who’s carrying on and who’s heading home, and set some money aside for a taxi – or check the night-time public transport connections.
Look up the meeting point on a map before you leave home and allow extra time for traffic – the boat won’t change its departure time. We describe what you’ll see along the way in our guide to the Vistula river cruise route in Warsaw.
Who the ticketed party is for – and when to choose a private cruise
The ticketed party is open to individuals and small groups. It’s a great fit when:
- there are just a few of you and you don’t want to organise everything from scratch,
- you’re visiting Warsaw for the weekend and want a ready-made plan for Saturday night,
- you’d like to meet new people – different groups party together on board,
- you’re having a small hen or stag do and want to keep the budget simple,
- you’re celebrating a birthday with a few friends and want a ready-made programme.
If you’d rather have the boat to yourselves, your own music, decorations or a banner, or a day other than Saturday, a private cruise is the better choice:
| Ticketed party | Private cruise | |
|---|---|---|
| Who’s on board | Guests from different groups | Only your guests |
| Date | Saturdays in season, departure at 18:00 | Date and time agreed individually |
| Price | €60 per person | From €20 per person on the Basic package for groups of 30 or more; smaller groups get an individual quote |
| Drinks | 2-hour open bar included | Depending on the package and extras |
| Programme | Shared games and a photographer | Your own music even with Basic, a DJ with VIP, extras on request |
For groups of up to 30 people, we quote private cruises individually as part of our Small groups in Warsaw offer – if there are a dozen or so of you, compare that quote with the cost of tickets. We describe private cruises on our Warsaw boat parties page, and if you’re still deciding on the format for your night out, compare the options in our post a boat, a party tram or a club?
How to prepare for the ticketed boat party in Warsaw
- Eat a proper meal before meeting up. An open bar isn’t a race – drink water, take breaks and know your limits.
- Bring your ID. In Poland, alcohol is only served to adults aged 18 and over, and staff may ask for ID to confirm your age if in doubt. It’ll also come in handy on the door at the clubs.
- Dress for the water. Comfortable shoes instead of high heels and a warmer layer for the evening – you’ll find more tips in our post on what to bring on a boat party.
- Charge your phone. PDF ticket, map, photos and a taxi after the after-party – a power bank in your pocket will come in handy.
- Plan how you’ll get to the clubs and back. Transport isn’t included in the ticket price, so agree in advance how you’ll get around.
- Bring a small bag. Fewer things means less rummaging around and less risk of losing something on board.
- Listen to the crew. On board, the crew’s instructions must be followed, and nobody leans over the side.
- See what the cruises look like. You’ll find photos and videos from our boat parties in the photo and video gallery.
- Agree on a backup meeting point. If anyone gets separated after you disembark, everyone knows where to meet.
A small hen or stag do at the boat party
A small group with the bride- or groom-to-be will fit right in at the ticketed party, as long as you keep a few things in mind. Bring compact versions of your props – a sash, a veil or matching T-shirts. Plan your own games so that they don’t disturb the other guests. And since there’s a photographer working on board, you don’t need to keep getting your phone out.
What’s not included in the ticket price
The ticket covers the cruise, the open bar with drinks, games, a photographer and club entry – it doesn’t include transport to the clubs or a meal. So eat something substantial before meeting up and budget for getting around after the cruise. If you want catering, decorations or your own music, choose a private cruise.
